Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships are also a federal government creation, but this time the focus is diversifying the next generation of international decision makers, global business leaders and other professionals. Undergraduates receiving the Pell Grant and planning on studying in Vietnam should give this award a try. Over 700 are handed out each year. Eligible candidates must be academically outstanding, besides demonstrating serious financial disadvantage. Preference is given to minorities and disabled. Awards are up to $5,000.
