Gianni's Trattoria Restaurant & Cafe @ JB

We went out for a dinner for a little colleagues gathering at JB and we decided to go around Serampang to spot some special food. This Italian Restaurant of Gianni's Trattoria immediately caught our attention. We took another round the shops and end up going into this shop. Is it good? Let's see.

The Gianni's Trattoria sign outside of the shop that caught our eyes. Not sure if it's own by Gianni, but I'm sure its own by Italian.

We are starving and so we quickly ordered our food with some chef recomemndations. While waiting, I took the chance to snap some shots with some interesting decoration around the shop.

A middle table around the shop with flower decoration. It's real flower, an interesting thought they are putting in. A unique set-up, I would say, and it's kind of classy.

The setting in the restaurant is basically dim and they placed this oil light on every table to give a overall romantic feelings. The restaurant is filled with families and only 1 couple in sight. I suppose because of the price tag of this shop comparing to the JB town.

The first to come is the Pizza Parigina priced at RM28.00. It's one of the best Italian Pizza I've tried and it's oven to perfection with crispy thin crust bread and very tasty topping.

The next to come is the Lamb Shank but in a generally smaller portion comparing to Secret Recipe. As a lamb lover, I would say this Lamb Shank is better than Secret Recipe. The sauce is crazy creamy and tasty. This particular small serving is priced at RM45.00. Worth the price.

We then got in the carb heavy meal, the In-House Special Pasta. It's served with brocolli only and again, the creamy sauce is crazily heaven. We "wallop" every drip of sauce on the plate. It's priced at RM35.00.

This is suppose to be our appetizer, the Fried Calamari. Nothing special, ordered because my friend suddenly craze for some calamari ring, but it's not good. Priced at RM18.00 and funny thing, they served it with 2 prawns. Running out of calamari??

As stress, we enjoyed our food and save on drinks, so free flow of water in the shop. Just nice for us to hang around to chit chat and update each others.

The whole meal for three of us cost us RM144.90. Ok for a good Italian Restaurant and I personnaly recommend this shop to all Italian Food Lover. Others should stay away if you do not know how to appreciate Italian Food, because it's a little pricey and I bet you can get something you love better out there.

Thumbs up and will I go back? Hell yes.
