6-day photo exhibition Usha Vohra begins

The 6-day Photo Exhibition by the First Lady, Usha Vohra, commenced at Kala Kendra here today. The Exhibition has been organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.


The Exhibition, inaugurated by Triloke Kaul, a veteran painter of the State, will remain open for public viewing between 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily upto April 20. In all, 70 photographs depicting varied themes are on display. These photographs have been taken by Vohra, who is an amateur photographer

The Governor, N. N. Vohra, MLC, Vijay Bakaya, Media Consultant to the Government, Farooq Nazki, Padam Shri Jitender Udhampuri, Principal 
Secretary to the Governor, R. K. Goyal, Secretary of the Cultural Academy, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, a galaxy of writers, artists, intellectuals, senior officers and prominent citizens were present on occasion and they viewed the photo exhibition.
In his observations, Kaul complimented the First Lady for having the interest and for finding the time to take such beautiful photographs on various aspects of nature in all parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to the media persons, Vohra said that the natural beauty of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions would compel any one to take photographs.
Earlier, on arrival at the Kala Kendra, the Governor and the First Lady were received by the Secretary and other officers of the Cultural Academy.
