Satinder Srataaj who has recently got married has again been dragged into a controversy for his poetry once again. Satinder Sartaj sang these lines in an interview on Channel PTC Punjabi:
"Yameena Mehngian Ethe Jameeran Sastian Ne,Tusi Anumaan Lavo Kon Badiyan(Big) Hastiyan Ne."
This couplet was sung in answer to the last question asked in that interview. These words are proclaimed to be from the pen of Surinderpreet Ghania who hails from district Bathinda.
Apparanetly Mr. Ghania has already recited these lines many a times at various Poetic gatherings and on DD Punjabi and Radio as well. Surinderpreet Ghania had made it clear that Satinder Sartaj never asked for his permission to sing those lines and has asked Satinder Sartaj to explain this action.
Surinderpreet Ghania is not an unknown name in the Punjabi poetry as he is the ex-chairman of Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabah and is a promnent poet. Many other writers are supporting Mr. Ghania in this matter and namely storywriter Harjinder Surewalia, Gurmit Kadialvi, Harmeet Vidyarthi and Poets as Balwinder Chahal, Sukhwinder Singh Kaliawali has regarded this act of Satinder Sartaj as disgraceful. Punjabi song lyricist Amardeep Gill has also disliked this action at facebook.
Tarlok Singh Judge, who was involved in the same issue in the past has also presented his views at Facebook and has called the actions of Baljit Balli and the PTC channel Punjabi disgraceful who are praising such acts. So far, no explanation or official word has been released from Satinder Sartaj.
