Not every mother is the best mother in "the whole wide world," but most do the best they can. And all they deserve their special day of recognition.
This is the day that you put on your best face for your mom and give her that great Mother’s Day card, flowers or other heartfelt treasured gift to say, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom." Even if the relationship between mother and child through the years wasn’t – or isn’t – the best, the day is set aside to proclaim
"Our mother is the best mother in the whole wide world." And it should be.

No matter what, we should give our moms that one day a year to say, “Good job, Mom. No matter what crap I threw at you throughout the year, you are still my mother and today I recognize you.”
M - O - T - H - E - R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
"MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.
Mother's Day will be celebrated on Sunday May 08, 2011 (in the U.S.).
