Free education in the University of Cambodia

The University of Cambodia today has approved nine projects, submitted by The University of Cambodia Student Senate (UCSS), which are worth about US$6,000. The approval of the nine projects was made following the meeting between The University of Cambodia President, Dr Kao Kim Hourn, and the UC Student Senate leaders on Saturday, 24 January 2009. The UC Student Senate has requested the financial support from the University to help cover the costs of various activities and program that it planned to undertake during its mandate in 2009.

The meeting was also attended by members of the UC Advisory Team attached to the UCSS, which comprised Associate Deans of various colleges and senior adviser to the University President.

The University of Cambodia is pleased to support the UC Student Senate to implement various activities and programs to benefit not only the students themselves but also the community at large. The approved projects will help the students to reach out to the various Cambodian communities as well as to work with younger students, who had just graduated from high school and entered the university for the first time.
