Gold Coast of Phnom penh
THE Gold Coast is lucky to have as its closest neighbour the thriving region of Tweed Heads. It is the most northerly town in the state of New South Wales and has more in common with its Queensland cousins than it does with the southern capital of Sydney. Tweed Heads sits right next to Coolangatta, and to the casual observer looks like an extension of the urban beach strip that denotes the Gold Coast. But the Tweed Valley and the coastal villages running south possess a character and style all of their own, and offer a more relaxed pace of life. Truth be known, Tweed holidaymakers get a three-for-one deal - the bustling coastal town of Tweed Heads, the string of seaside villages that make up the New Tweed Coast and the lush rainforests of the Tweed Valley.
